Music Producer · Composer · Creative Director

I've spent over two decades making music that travels, across genres, cultures, formats and borders, without losing what makes it specific.

I'm a music producer, composer, guitarist and creative director based in London. I've produced multi-platinum artists including Shania Twain, Al Green, Apache Indian and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The Shania Twain Up! album sold over 20 million copies worldwide, received a GRAMMY nomination and won a JUNO Award for Country Recording of the Year. The No Reservations album produced for Apache Indian included Arranged Marriage, an Ivor Novello-nominated multi-platinum hit that became one of the defining records of the British South Asian crossover era.

As a professional guitarist, I've performed and toured with Boyzone, Robbie Williams, Swami, Deep Forest and Don Letts across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, headlining Glastonbury, WOMAD, Latitude, SXSW and the Kennedy Center. My catalogue spans sync placements on Netflix, Disney, Warner Bros. and EA Games, and my production work has been recognised with two UKAMA Best Producer awards and a SAMA Award for Best Engineer.

A lot of what I do comes back to one idea: taking British South Asian and globally influenced music to an international stage without losing its cultural specificity. That's what drove PunjabTronix, a UK-India collaboration supported by Arts Council England and the British Council, and it's what still drives the work today.

I've also spent years at the frontier where music meets technology, from immersive audiovisual performance and VR through to AI. As DJ Swami I've been a finalist in the international AI Song Contest three years running. I judge for the BRIT Awards and Music Producers Guild, and sit on the Ivors Academy Future Sound Experience Council and the WIPO Technical Exchange Network.
